Integration of educational programmes in the school environment to redefine gender representations in order to prevent inequalities. The promotion of human rights cannot be 'taught' in traditional terms and is not based on rote or passive learning. For this reason, the aim of our educational programmes is to open an 'experiential dialogue' in which we 'talk with the children'. In this direction, we apply methods of experiential-communicative teaching aimed at bringing out children's experiences and concerns. Through the creation of a safe space for interaction, different perspectives and attitudes around gender roles are reflected and children co-construct the concept of equality. Overall, the programmes aim to develop children's communication skills in order to seek help, as well as skills that will enable them to avoid/prevent unpleasant situations and to protect themselves.
Specific objectives:
- ✓ Development of children's self-esteem and self-confidence
- ✓ Developing future professionals with equal opportunities
- ✓ Formation of child role models for the peer group
- ✓ Cultivating freedom of expression in the private and public sphere
- ✓ Developing empathy and respect for the 'other' and the 'different'
- ✓ Prevention of bullying phenomena due to gender expression
The educational team visits schools all over Greece or conducts interventions through tele-education in areas whichfor practical reasons we cannot visit at that particular time.
